Eric Gabriel is a Landscape Designer and joins us from Penn State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture, and a versatile background. Eric had first joined DHDA as an intern while pursuing his degree. While focused on education, he has additionally gained first-hand experience in landscape installation and nursery management in Pennsylvania. Eric engaged in xeriscaping, integrated pest management, and planting design during his Internship with Mt. Cuba Center, in Hockessin, DE, fueling a passion for horticulture, particularly native plant design of the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions.
Eric draws upon travel, a love of architecture, and formal design knowledge. His explorations of celebrated architecture, landscape design, and land preserves throughout the United States, Europe, and China, inspire his design vision, expressing intrinsic qualities of place in design. Eric integrates his experience of place with an understanding of classical design philosophy, gained from Barnstone Studios and architectural study. His passion for sketch and design combines with his love for gardens.
