Joe Werner is an Intermediate Landscape Architect at DHDA. He is a graduate of the University of Georgia’s College of Environment & Design. Having worked for years with the Office of University Architects in Athens, Georgia, Joe has contributed to a number of educational and public designs—from community gardens to coastal research facilities and conference centers. For his body of undergraduate work in public and residential design, Joe received a Georgia ASLA Merit Award for overall design achievement in landscape architecture.
In addition to his time spent in the Southeast, Joe has worked on residential design and project management in Dallas, Texas and throughout Southern California. The arid environments of the southern and western United States have fostered in him a particular interest in the responsible use and conservation of water, along with a rooted sense of pragmatism in landscape design and site planning. Joe has shared his effective design sensibility and efficient project management with DHDA since May 2014.
